I truly can’t say enough great things about Jin. Jin helped me buy an apartment on Oahu while I was staying on the mainland. All of the usual stress of buying a home was exponentially greater doing it from so far away. I had chosen Jin because he was recommended by a friend. Jin would literally crawl under houses to assess the foundation and structural integrity of the buildings. Throughout the entire process Jin was so patient and detail oriented. Because of Jin I felt confident that I had all the information I needed to buy my first apartment. When it came to negotiating with other agents, I was blown away by Jin’s skill. Jin, hands down, was the best agent. I was so happy with his attentiveness and abilities and am now working with him again to purchase a house on Oahu.

Jin Kim is the best real estate agent you will find, period. It’s easy to pull up property listings on your own with online resources. The hard part is knowing a property’s potential hidden landmines and negotiating the best price. This is where Jin becomes your greatest asset in finding (or selling) a property. I worked with Jin to purchase my first home, a condo in town. He would always show up prepared with not just comps but also a comprehensive understanding of the financial and structural health of buildings we were looking at. When Jin would start negotiations with other agents I stood on the sidelines and listened as he artfully whittled down their defenses. Jin also worked around my schedule and many evenings we would meet at his office and literally have to turn on the lights as it was well after business hours and all of the other agents had already gone home. If you want an agent who goes way above and beyond and truly works for you to get you the best value possible, Jin is your agent.

We began our home search with a pretty clear budget and some parameters about where we wanted to be on the island, but an unclear timeline. Our search took over a year and Jin was incredibly patient with us and did not push us to make a decision when we weren’t ready. He continued to share listings and be available as we were motivated. What sets Jin apart is his extensive knowledge of contracts and home construction. During showings he would point out nuances (good or bad) in the design and construction as well as the condos’ reputation. Once we moved into contract negotiations, he clearly articulated and educated us on the details within the contract, set a manageable, but strong timeline and helped us get into contract and close on time. Jin worked well with our chosen lender, the seller realtor, inspectors, and all other stakeholders in the deal. We closed in May and love our new space. It’s perfect for our growing family.
